The Phonebooth team is looking for an outstanding software developer with a flair for design to join our small team... Do you dream of dramatically changing the way the world communicates? Frustrated that your mobile, chat, and desktop communication experience isn't integrated? Are you itching to create applications that push productivity beyond the status quo? User experience is a big part of Phonebooth. We strive each day to make our application easier to use. Oh, and you should be an active developer of JavaScript applications.
Our ideal candidate (you?) should have these qualities:
- Always learning, teaching
- A strong interest in UX/UI design
- Highly proficient with mockups...the pencil and paper kind...and implementing the mockups
- Good listener, sharp observer, clear thinker
- Enjoys solving complex problems (and good at it)
- Organized and can get things done
- Not afraid to step out of their comfort zone and try something new
- Wants to be part of a small, growing company that is making an impact on the productivity of small business
- Authorized to work in the States and can physically work in our beautiful offices in Cary, NC (right smack between Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill)
Command-line tools and vi should excite you, not scare you. Your ability communicate with code, a text editor, and a white board should be equal to the beautiful interfaces you implement. And you should be equally excited about spending similar amounts of time listening to users and customers give their feedback.
