Ruby on Rails/Mobile Developer at Toura (New York, NY)

Toura is currently recruiting a Ruby on Rails/Mobile Developer to work in our New York City office. We are seeking an experienced software engineer specializing in web application development with a focus on HTML, CSS, and Javascript and Ruby on Rails. The Front-End/Mobile Developer will work on Rails web applications, user interface development and mobile application development. Experience with Objective-C (iPhone/iPad), Java (Android), or PhoneGap a plus.

Responsibilities:

Developing advanced web user interface components using JavaScript/Rails
Developing mobile applications using HTML/Javascript, Objective-C, and Java
Working with QA and Development teams to troubleshoot bugs and glitches
Developing QA tests for functionality and usability testing

Requirements:

Programming experience in Ruby and Rails
Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, XML, DHTML and CSS
3-5 years experience designing and implementing web applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills
