Travelocity: Global SEO Manager

Travelocity Global is seeking an experienced and results-driven SEO Manager to lead search engine optimization across our entire portfolio of global websites. This position requires an in-depth understanding of SEO best practices and a proven track record of exceptional traffic and visibility growth from SEO campaign management. You will have the opportunity to operate on both the strategic and tactical level while taking ownership of SEO results for over all global properties. The Search Engine Optimization Manager will work closely with the Head of Global Digital Marketing, as well as with the regional and country SEO managers, in the research, development, and implementation of SEO campaigns that deliver against Travelocity's business metrics.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct and execute global SEO strategy across all brands and regions, in collaboration with business strategy, driving increased SEO traffic and conversion
  • Create global SEO Center of Excellence
  • Work with cross-functional global teams to understand local market requirements and identify SEO growth opportunities
  • Define, monitor, and analyze SEO key performance indicators (KPI's) to continually improve campaigns
  • Compile industry research, competitive landscape information, and trade intelligence for SEO strategy development and optimization.
  • Serve as SEO thought-leader by providing guides, resources and presentations to the local market product, content, and technology teams.
  • Stay abreast of new natural search engine optimization developments and opportunities in the SEO domain and incorporate into ongoing campaign management.
  • Continually leverage new tools & industry best practices to ensure Travelocity remains a leader in search engine optimization.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • BA/BS in Marketing, IT, MIS, or related field
  • 5+ years of search engine optimization experience (natural / organic search marketing) a must
  • Must be fluent in the search landscape, including search engine algorithms and ranking strategies
  • Experience with Omniture SiteCatalyst, Google Analytics, or similar web analytics tools
  • Experience with keyword research and search engine ranking and analysis tools
  • General understanding of HTML, CSS, and web server environments
  • High attention to detail, and ability to effectively manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently and synthesize large amounts of data while meeting tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work in a dynamic team environment
