Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for server side development of OpenFeint features. You will work closely with the Engineering team to build features used by the iPhone and Android client through our REST API. Client developers can depend on you to both deliver a feature on time and to constantly communicate your progress and how the feature will work.
Core Required Skills:
- Expert with database concepts (schema normalization, optimization, and scaling)
- Expert Ruby on Rails with several delivered projects (show examples) and at least 2 years of RoR experience
- A team player with experience working in a group of skilled RoR programmers
- Strong written and oral communication skills
Other Desired Skills:
- Experience scaling a RoR project to handle massive traffic
- Thorough understanding of software engineering best practices (OOP, DRY, MVC, TDD, etc.)
- Familiarity with Scrum or Xp
- Experience scaling a Ruby on Rails project
- Active Open Source development experience
- Passion for games
