The Producer, Online Automotive Marketing works as a full-time employee in the Automotive Marketing group, with the objectives of growing awareness, intent and conversion for SIRIUS XM via the online channel. He/she will support the daily automotive online business and ongoing projects, largerly focused around the company's business-to-consumer (B2C)/ business-to-business (B2B) websites (currently sirius.com, xmradio.com and siriusxmdealer.com). The Producer, Online Automotive Marketing will also help to develop, evangelize and implement an improved marketing presence and tools for SIRIUS XM's automotive partner websites. Additionally, he/she will help to identify, evaulate and execute on broader online marketing opportunities for automotive, both in the social media space and with other appropriate online marketing partners. The Prdoucer, Online Automotive Marketing will contribute to the ongoing development and execution of the automotive online marketing strategy and bring a level of experience and knowledge of online marketing and technologies to be successful. He/she will interact with many other business units (i.e. Interactive, CRM) as well as outside partners, as needed. The role has heavy project management responsibility, handling multiple projects simultaneously.



Duties and Responsibilities:

This will include, but are not limited to ongoing development, maintenance and integration of:
Channel Recommender application
Dealer Portal
OEM presence on SIRIUS, XM and SIRIUS|XM websites.
SXM presence on OEM partner websites (works with marketing managers and Sr. Director to improve)
Gathers, negotiates, then sets requirements for both new and ongoing OEM web projects, managing the balance between business needs and resources.
Works with Interactive, IT, outside resources, marketing managers and OEM partners to produce interactive assets (web pages, pdfs, screens, widgets, data feeds) using good design standards, and web best practices to ensure high usability standards.
Manages project(s) from concept through launch, whether through Interactive department or 3rd party. If not through Interactive, facilitates the technical and content objectives for assigned website projects, including: scheduling and scoping of web site design; creation of page schematics identifying functional requirements of each page (IA); definition of development requirements. Process when going through interactive may vary, but will include much of the same.
Efficiently manages workflow on both a project and department level. Uses strong group facilitation skills to lead and develop approval processes for each relevant department (SIRIUS|XM departments, third party partners, etc.).
Advocates web best practices in the Automotive group; resides as a center of interactive marketing expertise.
Constantly looking to improve SIRIUS|XM's OEM online impact with new ideas/pages/modules/functionality to meet business goals, or solve uncovered usability issues.
Responsible for tracking conversion and traffic metrics; able to analyze data to improve online marketing performance.
Keeps the group abreast of developing technologies, innovative ideas and marketing concepts.
Works with outside vendors, including bidding jobs, drafting/issuing RFPs, managing vendors when necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in interactive, marketing, advertising or media / communications.
4-6 years interactive marketing experience.
Requirements and General Skills:

Interactive marketing experience required, including building and executing interactive marketing plans (including social media, SEO, SEM, online advertising, email), as well as producing websites/pages and content or related digital multimedia.
Understands how to work within a brand and around clear marketing goals and has the detail-oriented ability to enforce adherence to corporate brand, copy and style standards.
Makes good decisions based upon analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment; offers appropriate solutions and suggestions.
Strong project management skills, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Works seamlessly with other departments.
Ability to manage resources and expectations effectively.
Passion for the interactive medium.
Understanding of interactive copywriting best practices to drive action.
Strong knowledge of IA & usability, QA processes.
Required ability to get things done through existing production processes, as well as the vision/initiative to help establish new processes and improve existing ones as needed, to improve efficiencies.
Works proactively and volunteers assistance without being asked.

Technical Skills:

Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project and Visio).
Knowledge of developing Internet applications and technologies (Flash, Ajax, HTML, streaming audio/video encoding, social media, online advertising, etc.), and how they can best be leveraged to meet business needs.
Experience with content management systems, blog software.
