SONY ONLINE ENTERTAINMENT Position Title: Web Producer Location: San Diego, CA Sony Online Entertainment is looking for a well-rounded hands-on Web Producer to join its Web Presence group who possesses experience in many aspects of the web including design layout, user-experience, community, and development. The Web Producer is responsible for ensuring SOE?s web presence is kept up to date, is easy to find, legally compliant and effective. The Web Presence department is responsible for the look and feel of SOE?s web sites, including Station.com, individual property sites and its extensions. Essential Duties * Coordinates with Brand Managers and Community Managers to ensure sites are kept up to date with new content regularly, and on schedule. * Develops, prioritizes, executes and maintains Content Delivery Plans for assigned sites. * Reassesses web sites for content freshness, usability, accuracy, error and removes out-of-date content. * Provides regular web statistics and reporting to Brand Managers. * Creates various web graphics such as news features, forum skins and fan site kits. * Collaborates with production teams on site enhancements, designs, re-designs, localization and promos. * Creates and executes newsletters and email blasts. * Keeps abreast of happenings with competitor web sites. * Develops web site strategies to build interest, community and awareness. * Implements Search Engine Optimization and monitors effectiveness. * Keeps sites legally compliant with latest legal guidelines including ESRB, Sony, etc. * Provides on-call support in the event of emergency site updates/fixes. * Ensures web sites and updates reflect the style and brand direction from Marketing. * Keeps abreast of new methods, techniques and technologies for use on sites. * Assists with Web Presence Asset Management. * Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications * 2+ years experience working in web design or web production. * Proficient with tools including Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, FTP client, CVS, Word, PowerPoint, Excel. * Deep understanding of user experience, presentation, live community and web content. * Autonomous, proactive, highly motivated and organized. * Demonstrable experience maintaining large-scale web sites. * Proficient with reading, writing and troubleshooting HTML. * Strong oral and written English communication skills. Sufficient to both communicate within the organization and to provide site content when required. * Ability to work under stringent deadlines and can meet timeline goals. * Able to maintain/re-purpose DHTML, CSS, XML, Javascript and Actionscript. * Must possess knowledge of Sony Online Entertainment?s games and brands. * Able to read and write French, German or Japanese a plus Experience * Extensive game playing experience (especially MMOs) a plus * Experience working with content including copy editing and data entry * Working knowled
