Senior SAS Programmer / Senior Data Analyst
Description
Position will support the development of databases which support complex market research studies conducted on behalf of our clients. We are looking for a candidate who has a passion for data development and data integrity. We are looking for someone who has the following characteristics:
Strong project management and communication skills
- Strong experience working with large databases
- Responsible, accountable and detail-oriented
- Feels comfortable working in a small, fast-growing and innovative environment
- Has an interest in marketing, market research and marketing data
- Has a long-term interest in development as a database developer or marketing analytics professional
Role:
This position will report to the ETL Manager and will work with a team of database developers in the Data Department. On project, the senior data analyst will work with a senior project manager, statisticians and other database developers
Locations:
- West Los Angeles (Santa Monica Blvd at the 405)
Responsibilities:
- Will create data tables based on specification set by project manager; will be uploaded onto SQL tables for use by web application
- Responsible for reviewing/auditing third party data files and working to resolve data issues
- Responsible for creating and implementing necessary process steps and quality checks to ensure data integrity
- Responsible for maintaining critical project documentation (e.g., work plan, data dictionary)
Work Requirements:
- Data & Data Quality
- 4+ years experience working with large sets of diverse, client data source files
- 4 years experience working with SAS
- Strong experience working with Excel (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, etc)
- Experience auditing data, developing data, and performing data validation
- Experience developing process steps and quality checks
- Solid understanding and experience working with relational databases
- Must be very detail-oriented and self-organizing
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to drill down and resolve data errors
- Ability to meet milestones and deliverable dates and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
