Software Engineers conduct or participate in multidisciplinary research and collaborate with design, layout and/or hardware engineers in the design, development, and utilization of productivity enhancement layout tools and design rule checkers, electronic data processing systems software. Determines computer user needs'' advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that affect software systems such as storage capacity, processing speed, and input/output requirements'' designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Responds to customer/client requests or events as they occur. Develops solutions to problems utilizing formal education, judgment and formal software process.
We are seeking an engineer to join a team responsible for development, debug and delivery of OpenGL drivers for Intel platforms. This engineer will be responsible for working with both internal teams and external vendor teams on critical features and complex troubleshooting to enable delivery of Intel products. The successful candidate will be a high-energy problem-solver with a passion for excellence who has a track record of "getting the job done." We are looking for people who are excellent team players, and who also work well on individual assignments.
Experience working on complex projects and coordinating with people from multiple organizations.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field is required
*Minimum 3 years professional experience GPU driver development.
*Minimum 3 years software lifecycle development experience.
*Minimum of 3 experience in C / C++ programming
Highly desired qualifications include:
* Demonstrated experience completing projects and delivering software to customers
* Experience in GLSL compilers
* Experience with memory management, performance optimization, 2D driver or GPU firmware are all advantages
* OpenGL programming a plus
* Linux experience is desired but not required
