We are looking for a few great web developers to join our mostly virtual team (we have engineers working remotely in a variety of places across the country).
We are looking for both mid and senior (and very senior, and very very senior) levels of developers with anywhere from 2 thru 20+ years experience. Though we do not hire based on specific languages or technologies (we want good engineers from any background), we primarily utilize and develop on the Microsoft technology stack (ASP.NET, C#) and supporting technologies (jScript, jQuery, MVC, AJAX, IIS7, SQL Server 2008, etc.), so you should be interested in working on those platforms for now.
You should:
* Have a passion for web development and technology in general
* Enjoy and thrive in an agile, fast-moving, ever-changing startup environment
* Welcome and take on technical challenges of all shapes and sizes
* Be comfortable working in a distributed, semi-virtual environment
* Be capable of creating, providing, and executing on technical direction and tasks for yourself and others
* Be comfortable giving and taking open, honest communication with co-workers who will become your friends
* Be able to take minimal direction from others and provide maximal direction for yourself and others
* Have excellent interpersonal skills and a sense of humor
You will (just as we all do):
* Help lead the development of web-based tools that help and integrate with the Facebook ecosystem
* Develop agile software to integrate with pre-release, closed-beta, and ever changing APIs on a very large (Facebook) platform
* Take ownership of bringing new web-based products to market and extending features of existing products
* Work independently within a group of developers to drive product development
* Communicate and coordinate effectively with other independent developers to ensure optimal progress towards our goals
* Be immersed daily in a variety of hands-on technical work (developers handle the architecture, design, development, support, and PR of our products)
You must:
* Demonstrate solid working knowledge of any mainstream object oriented programming language, ideally C++ or C#
* Have a deep understanding of web development, ideally utilizing ASP.NET, C#, jScript, jQuery, IIS, etc.
* Possess foundational knowledge of the stuff that makes the web tick: HTTP, HTML, CSS, XML, the relational data model, etc.
* Display working knowledge of the SQL language and/or SQL-based relational database system(s) (i.e. SQL Server, MySql, Oracle, etc.)
* Have a solid command of written and spoken English
