We have a Fortune 500 FOOD manufacturing client seeking a Director of FOOD Safety and Regulatory Affairs. Our client is financially sound responsible company with very strong brand recognition worldwide.
This position will lead, direct and provide long term strategic direction for FOOD Safety, and Regulatory Affairs for Client Company Technical resource for risk analysis, problem solving, product and process improvement, cost reduction assessment and reducing risk in areas of FOOD safety, sanitation and microbiology. Proactive relationship with regulatory world on a local and national level.
Required Experience
BS/BA degree in FOOD Science or related, Advance Degree a big plus!
Seeking a minimum of ten years experience in quality assurance, operations and regulatory responsibilities. Minimum of five years in quality assurance is required.
Strong knowledge and experience in FOOD safety, microbiology and toxicology.
Proficient with the concepts of hazard analysis, risk assessments, and system/process applications.
Proven ability to lead, guide and direct!
Solid understanding of the CFR, FDA, and USDA regulations.
Well networked with Regulatory and Trade organizations.
Highly Preferred Experience
Excellent organizational, communications, interpersonal and team interaction skills highly needed.
Possess a high degree in motivation, be self-directed and a self-starter.
Travel 35% on a National Level
MUST HAVE ----- FOOD Safety Advance Degree is highly preferred Mico Biology background is highly desirable. A STRONG tie with Regulatory Agencies is going to be key! Will look at backgrounds with FOOD Processing (pretty open) and Dairy! Will not look at backgrounds from Slaughter Houses, Meat Processing or Chemicals and from Independent Consultants.
