Grant Thornton LLP/Houston, TXSales/Use Tax Automation Senior Associate â?? State & Local Tax â?? Sales & Use Tax
Qualifications:
· Minimum of Bachelors degree
· 3-5+ years experience in sales/use tax
· 2-3 of those years focused/partially focused on sales/use tax systems and automation (Vertex, Sabrix, Taxware in conjunction w/ERP-Oracle, SAP, PeopleSoft, JDE/EnterpriseOne)
Roles/Responsibilities:
· Manage/Maintain daily project tasks for specific clients
· Work closely with senior manager(s) on project planning as well, as well as overall solution design
· Work closely with staff on implementing tax solution design(ie set up of rules, exceptions, etc in tax software)
· Manage project budget and keep senior manager(s) informed of budget
· Manage project documentation related to analysis, requirements, design, testing, training and project work plans.
· Interface with clients in all aspects of our projects.
Additional Information:
· Ability to work additional hours as needed and travel to various client sites.
