AccuWeather is seeking developers interested in mobile application development, primarily iPhone, iPad, Android and other similar devices. You will work in a fun and collaborative environment where you will gain experience building applications from the ground up. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Building applications from concept to completion in a collaborative environment
- Research and develop solutions for future products and releases.
- Assist senior programmers with the maintenance, support, and development.
- Work with team to troubleshoot and identify software technical issues.
- Enhance existing code base.
- Update software to meet evolving and changing market and technical advances.
- Provide input on user interface design and features.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field and 1-5 years of experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Proficiency in compiled languages (Java, C++, Obj-C, etc.)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (JavaScript, PHP, ASP, etc.)
- Proficiency in web technologies (HTML and CSS)
- Proficiency in data parsing (XML and/or JSON)
- Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, Netbeans, Xcode, etc.)
- Clear understanding of asynchronous functionality and when it should be used (AJAX/Multi-threading)
- Competency writing clear, efficient code
- General understanding of overall interactions between client-side and server-side functionality
PLUSES:
- Some competency with graphic design software (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash, etc.)
- Interest in/experience with application UI design
