As a Senior Visual/Interaction Designer, you will create invitation designs and Web site interfaces that reflect and extend the established style guide and oversee the online brand and identity of Evite.com. You will work closely under the Creative Director along with interaction designers, product managers, and developers. You will translate creative directions and discussions into leading consumer-facing application designs and layouts. You will create and maintain a consistent look-and-feel of all Evite.com products. The candidate will be dedicated and proactive with a very strong work ethic.
Job Details:
You will be involved in the creative design process and client management at various levels of a project including, but not limited to:
- Creative conceptualization
- Execution of the design itself
- Managing feedback for revisions
- Overseeing the consistency of the design from inception through launch
- Working with IA/UX designers to manage deliverables and creative schedule
- Collaborating with the HTML/ CSS Production team on approved design
Job Requirements:
- Determines the overall creative approach and concept direction toward the design interfaces for Evite Web sites and applications
- Remains current on creative trends in our industry as well as the latest techniques/technologies that help drive cutting-edge creative
- Translate design concepts into HTML/CSS/Javascript
- Strong expertise in CSS / HTML 4.0 and higher
- Familiarity designing in a JavaScript Framework environment (jQuery & GWT) is a plus
- Approach all projects with a focus on communication hierarchy using layout, color, typography, proportion, iconography, photography, motion/rich media, and brand
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop (with a focus on the ability to use to create Web sites/Web interfaces)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong client relationship management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Fine Arts, Computer Science or a related field
- Flash / ActionScript experience a plus
- 5+ years experience designing layouts for Web sites, e-commerce, and/or Web based applications
