JOB DESCRIPTION:
SDL Language Weaver is seeking a Site Controller to support our rapidly evolving accounting function. The team operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, functioning as a proactive business partner and assisting the business leaders with their accounting and compliance responsibilities.
The position reports to the North America Controller for SDL and will be located in Los Angeles, CA. Major responsibilities are to provide accurate management information and analysis to the management team in Los Angeles and work closely with operating management as a mission critical team member while fully discharging reporting requirements to Group Headquarters in Maidenhead, UK with timely and accurate financial reporting

* Sound communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with operating management, with a strong service orientation. Capable to explain issues
* Proven analytical skills and the ability to synthesize conclusions clearly
* Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy and quality
* Team player, able to work across business boundaries
* Proven ability to lead
* Pro-active, action oriented and results driven
* Used to working to and meeting deadlines
* Fact based in approach and willing to understand the detail of the business and its transactions
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting and strong knowledge of IFRS and software revenue recognition required
* 5-10 years auditing or accounting experience
* CPA preferred
* Experience with global ERP financial systems required, preferably with Great Plains
* Experience of performing all operational accounting functions within a standalone company environment is beneficial
* High degree of proficiency with MS Excel is required
