Full time Insurance Manager needed for a high energy, performance-focused
medical collection agency. This individual will be responsible for managing
the insurance department including the daily activities of Insurance
Representatives and Insurance Support Staff. This position reports to the
Branch Operations Manager. Competitive compensation structure and an

Ideal candidate should possess the following skills:

. 3-5 years Healthcare Receivables management experience
. 1-2 years management experience
. Self motivated with strong communication skills.
. Candidate must have a strong work ethic and a strong desire to
achieve individual and team goals.


Specific Job Skills:

Demonstrate knowledge of medical collection & health insurance fundamentals.
Maintain a knowledge-base to include, third party payer rules and
regulations as they apply to billing and follow up, operational procedure
and guidelines, and other relevant information to insurance billing and
follow up.

Manage daily operations of the insurance department and coordinate the
timely billing & follow up of assigned accounts. Inspect and conduct audits
on the insurance staff to ensure that they are creating urgency and
following all processes & procedures on a daily basis.

Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures. Initiate corrective
action through coaching, counseling and/or disciplining to modify and
improve staff behavior as needed.

Maintain department efficiency and peak production levels by monitoring
staff production to ensure quality control and high levels of performance.
Continually evaluate & train assigned staff and providing feedback and
recommendations for each employee to improve performance.

Provide detailed feedback to superiors on individual and departmental
production. Recommend measures to enhance performance and increase monthly
insurance collections from current levels. Utilize available reports to
summarize information and identify trends.



Correspond with clients and remote staff as necessary to ensure timely
exchange of information and prevent delays in work in process.

Knowledge of HIPAA laws and guidelines required; Knowledge o FDCPA & FCRA
laws preferred.


Education and/or Required Experience & Capabilities

Minimum 3-5+years experience in Insurance Follow up / Medical Billing &
Collections in a Healthcare Environment or Third-party Agency

1-2 years management experience in a business setting

High School Diploma required

Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred

Experience & proficient with Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)


The job is a salaried position with approximately 16-20 direct reports. It
is a hands on job.



Bottom Line
