SDL Language Weaver seeks a Manager for Production Operations to work side by side with our Director of Information Technology as we commercialize cutting edge software for the new social business.

Duties
* Support IT Director in datacenter design and engineering services (ex: Oversee Rack and wire datacenter devices - routers, switches, servers, storage)
* Interface with other teams and assist IT Director with project requests, related requirements, schedule equipment deployments, evaluate and validate user request details, and help coordinate workflow
* Define stack for network and system monitoring
* Define application requirements for logging, restart and recovery
* Maintain hot backup environment
* Oversee break-fix support for servers and storage
* Maintain inventory
* Diligent management of datacenter power and environment, related capacity planning, monitoring, and improvements
* Provide off hours datacenter support services as needed
* Provide expedient full range of services to customers (internal and external)
* Enforce operational best practices and controls
* Support datacenter management software
* Create and maintain datacenter related documentation as directed
* Attend to other departmental needs as necessary
* Provide initiatives and recommendations that further the service level and excellence of the department
Qualifications
* 3+ years experience in datacenter management
* Demonstratable experience supporting live SaaS and data collection environments
* 6+ years experience supporting a high capacity, high availability, datacenter environment
* Solid understanding of datacenter power, cooling, and efficiency principles
* Solid understanding of cabling, and related technologies
* Knowledge and experience of server architecture and related hardware troubleshooting and repair
* Knowledge and experience of storage systems, backup systems, networking
* Experience with datacenter management software
* Ability to multitask and perform in a fast paced, critical production environment
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
* Interpersonal and team work
