Founded in 2005, VersaPay Corporation is a financial transactions services provider helping thousands of businesses accept credit cards and move money.
We have over 40 employees between our offices in Toronto, Montreal and our head office in Vancouver and are looking for an Experienced Rails Developer to join our team.
In short, We?re looking for someone who?d love to follow Agile methods, Behavior/Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration. The candidate should be awesome in Ruby, Rails 3, RSpec 2, Cucumber, SQL and application design. You should be a great team player above all else.
- We work with the Agile method.
- The team is self managed.
- Iterations are one week long.
- Every monday morning the whole team does retrospective + planning + application design.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 30 minutes code review.
- We do pair programming sometimes for really important features.
- We have a stand up everyday at 9:30AM PST.
Background and Requirements:
- Our application is built in Rails 3 and we make extensive use of Cucumber, Rspec, Git and Redmine to make programming super awesome.
- You need to be consistently availability for Monday Planning Meeting (9AM-12PM) and Daily Standup (9:30AM)
- Experience with Payment Gateways, Electronic Funds Transfer, Credit Card Processing would be great but is not required.
- Being located in Vancouver would be super cool because you'd be able to join our soccer games, but, location does not matter so long as you're available during the standard workday most days (9-5 M-F PST) If you're not in Vancouver then you can join by iChat/Skype.
- This is for a full-time contract position for 3 months, if we've got a good fit we'd like you to stay with us as long as the work is challenging and interesting for you.
- You must be able to start within the next 2 weeks. If you're not able to but still interested, let us know..we're growing all the time and can put you on file.
