Job Summary
The Sr. Unix Engineer will collaborate with other development team members to help create high performance server software with an emphasis on quality.

Responsibilities:
• Designing/coding of features in carrier class software
• Creation and execution of unit and integration tests
• Troubleshooting of software issues
• Peer code reviews
Qualifications:
Manadatory
Ideal candidates must have a strong background in the following areas:
• C++ coding and design
• Systems programming in Unix/Linux/Solaris, including system and library calls
• Network programming using sockets
• Multi-threaded programming, preferably Posix threads
Desired
Ideal candidates should also have the following:
• Solid troubleshooting and analytic skills
• Familiarity with unit testing (a la JUnit)
• A good grasp of computer science principles and willingness to work in a high-quality software engineering environment
• Experience with C, PHP, Perl, Shell scripting, Awk, MySql or C#
Education
• BSCS/MSCS and/or 5+ years programming experience
Working Conditions:
• Basic office environment
• Overtime may be required to meet deadlines
