The Sales Engineer works with Sales Account Executives on new accounts. This role works in a fast-paced high-energy market segment and candidates should be able to successfully balance multiple projects in a team-selling environment.This includes the ability to uncover business requirements, develop a technical sales strategy, and create and effectively demonstrate solutions that address customer requirements. Set and manage customer expectations around the deployment and adoption phases of the rollout as well as product usage. Build and deliver custom product demonstrations which focus on key business drivers and functional requirements for potential customers. Assist our account executives in completing RFP/RFIs, including scoping and estimating time and cost for implementation May spend a reasonable percentage of time (20-40%) onsite with customers to drive the adoption of the CollabNet platform.
Qualifications:
Bachelors (preferably Masters) degree in computer science or engineering.
3 years in hands-on software development role and solid domain expertise in software methodologies.
3+ years of experience with foundational web and LAMP technologies such as Java, Apache, Linux (RedHat), HTML/XML, and relational databases.
Demonstrated verbal and written analytical/problem solving, communication, negotiation, interpersonal and presentation skills are essential.
Experience working with all levels of staff within a customer’s organization
Success managing multiple client engagements simultaneously in an entrepreneurial dynamic environment.
Experience with Version control and Tracking tools a big plus (Clearcase, Subversion, CVS, etc)
Experience working with highly technical teams within enterprise level customers necessary.
