We are looking for a passionate engineer to join our team and drive algorithm development in personalization. Your job will be to work with a team of engineers and other team members to design, develop and deliver new ways of recommending movies to our 14+ million customers. You’ll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased satisfaction you help bring our millions of subscribers as the business continues to aggressively grow. Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess strong OO design/development skills and have a proven track record for driving projects from concept to prototype and finally implementation.
* Fluent in Java programming.
* Have a track record of building fast, reliable and highly scalable systems.
* Experience building service oriented architectures.
* The ability to brainstorm and prototype new ideas.
* 4+ years software development with BS or MS in Computer Science

Nice to Have
* Experience with personalization systems, recommender systems, data mining or machine learning in a commercial setting is desired, but not required.
* Experience with A/B testing or "bucket testing" methodologies.
