Astral Radio has committed to becoming a leader in local online media. We are looking to hire a knowledgeable and passionate web designer. The AR Digital Content Producer will be responsible for making our radio stations look great online while maximizing engagement and meaningful interactivity with listeners. The AR Digital Content Producer will work with the Programming and Promotions Directors and be part of a larger team creating a healthy interactive business within the site. This position?s focus is on content and design. It is NOT a web developer position or an IT role.
Responsibilities:
· Responsible for creating and publishing content
· Work directly with music labels and various content providers to acquire and distribute content
· Consolidate and centralize content production where possible and provide content production to applicable stations (i.e. entertainment news streams)
· Develop a station brand lifestyle experience online
· Develop a command of the content management system and be nimble with ideas on how to use the tools and applications in an optimal way
· Collaborate and communicate with the content and sales teams as well as other station personnel as they develop creative and effective advertising solutions within the brand environment
· Collaborate and communicate with the Program Directors and product-side talent to deliver a great, proprietary listener experience that over-delivers on expectations while building a meaningful database development and retention program
Skill requirements:
· Post secondary degree/diploma in graphic/multimedia design
· Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
· Experience with online usability and quality assurance
· Strong graphic design experience/skill with a hip/contemporary design sensibility and a keen eye for detail
· Proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash and Dreamweaver
· Experience working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related programming
· Knowledge of social media trends and experience utilizing existing platforms
· Video editing skills a plus
· Must possess strong short form feature writing skills
· Must be organized and able to handle multiple assignments in a fast paced environment
· Must be a team player
· Bilingual in English and French an asset
· Having a passion for music is an asset
