BookingBuilder Technologies develops groundbreaking applications in the travel industry. Our products are very popular, and we have a very strong commitment to customer service. We are looking for an experienced lead architect and development manager to manage the development of multiple products and several development teams. The technologies include .Net, SQL Server, C++ and vb6 (in the process of being moved to .Net). The products include both the applications we license to customers, and internal applications such as our billing system.

General job description:
• Manage day to day development of multiple projects
• Set priorities based upon internal and customer needs
• Document applications and processes
• Maintain specs, bug lists, feature requests
• Ensure we are using the latest applicable technologies
• Interview and hire developers
• Write great code! We estimate that about 50% of your time will be spent coding.
Technologies that you will be overseeing:
• Microsoft .Net and VB6
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft IIS
• JavaScript and HTML
• Various third party tools, such as the WinWrap script engine (script engine with vb.net compatible syntax), DevExpress web components, data compression libraries, Quickbooks interface, VistaDB embedded database, and others
We are a virtual company, so this is a work from home position. Your location doesn’t matter, but you will be expected to work during NY business hours.
