The Open Source Technology Center within the Software and Services Group is creating the software for the next generation of netbooks and mobile internet devices. OTC is looking for Linux software developers who love to write code and develop cutting-edge applications with beautiful, animated UIs along with rich middleware services. In this position, you will develop code for Intel's mobile and automotive platform efforts. Positions require positive interaction with the Linux community to ensure code is developed in an acceptable manner and adopted in upstream community projects as appropriate. In this role you must demonstrate a high level of initiative, ability to assume ownership of major areas, and establish correct technical direction. You must demonstrate flexibility to contribute to multiple areas in a nimble organization. In this role the ideal candidate must be good at problem solving, motivated and have the ability to research ambiguous technical challenges.
Qualifications:
BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering is desired with a minimum of 3 years experience or an MS degree with at least 2 years of experience.
The ideal candidate should also have established skills & experience in the following areas:
- Minimum one year hands on development experience writing Qt applications.
- Minimum 2 years C++ coding and debug experience.
- Minimum 2 years Software planning skills (the ability to develop personal development milestones is required).
Preferred:
- Experience coding to the Qt Mobility API
- QtCreator experience
