The Wonderfactory: Developer

The Developer is responsible for supporting a ui/design team, implementing code at every stage of development, producing quality assured release candidates, and documenting technical specifications for the client. Day to day projects include: full websites, tablet applications, Flash/Air applications, internal tools, mobile applications, and content management systems.

·      Develop innovative, robust, scalable applications

·      Maintain high quality coding standards across all projects

·      Codes complex functionality using best practice in various languages including (X)HTML(5), JS, AS3, Flex/Air, Obj-C, PHP, RoR, et al.

·      Ability to communicate and present, both written and orally, on issues relating to technology and development to a full range of peers, subordinates and high level executives both within and external clients.

·      Ability to integrate code into another, established system

·      Ensures code and assets are properly versioned/tagged/released

·      Understands and implements appropriate design patterns to particular problems

·      Communicates with project managers in regards to status and needs

·      Acts as a technical resource for other team members

·      Stays current with browser, front end and back end technology advancements

·      A minimum of 4 years web development experience

·      Expert understanding of the web development process, from requirements gathering to QA

·      Full understanding of all front end technologies

·      Must be a proficient user of Photoshop, Flash, Flash Builder, and Illustrator

·      Understands front end responsibility in regards to SEO

·      Excellent oral and written communication skills

·      Displays attention to detail, especially in coding standards and formatting

·      Experience working with graphics designers, information architects, or interface designers a plus

·      Interest in developing prototypes using emerging technologies, building iPad/iPhone apps, and online 2D/3D games is a plus

B.S. in Computer Science is a plus
