RGM Advisors, LLC is a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Austin, Texas that applies scientific methods and computing power to trading in multiple asset classes around the world. This is a unique opportunity to join a sophisticated quantitative trading firm in a collaborative environment away from the usual financial centers.
This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of RGM's clearing systems. The successful candidate will liaise closely with our accounting team to reconcile statements and ensure quality of reports as well as support our trading operations team, providing real-time risk management information and position verification. Additionally, this individual will work with internal customers to provide ad-hoc SQL reporting.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field (preferred) with at least 4 years of experience working with applications or systems administration
* Unix command line expert including data manipulation and analysis from shell
* Working knowledge of systems administration in a Linux environment
* Working knowledge of secure remote login and file transfer protocols, cron scheduling and management and service management
* Demonstrated proficiency in some of the following scripting languages: bash, ksh, csh, perl, python or php
* Familiarity with ANSI SQL and web technologies like HTML/Javascript
* Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
* Oracle PL/SQL programming or similar (PostgreSQL, Transact-SQL) is desired
