Financial Independence Group, Inc is seeking a highly motivated, creative, team member for the position of Web Designer.  The Web Designer will design, develop, test and deliver web sites, applications, and components.  Enhancements and maintenance will be required on an ongoing basis.  Best practices and design methods will be utilized to insure the success of the projects.  The designer will have the ability to create web applications and components from the requirements stage, through design, through production deployment.  They will be required to have experience in graphics, layout, scripting, programming as well as development involving compatibility and seamless integration with various technologies included but not limited to ASP.NET, Ajax, JavaScript, C# and Flash. 

Specifically the web designer will:

·         Create and design functional websites for clients

·         Create CMS for websites

·         Perform routine maintenance, content updates, and re-designs of websites

·         Assist in content writing and graphical production of client websites

·         Responsible for the FIG website design and maintenance. 

·         Assist in the development of CRM and other internal web based programs

·         Work with end users to gather requirements for superb usability

Position Requirements:

- A portfolio displaying innovative and user friendly design, valid and strict XHTML
- Ability to create wireframes, mockups, and full HTML prototypes.
- Understanding of web design issues, including browser usability and cross platform compatibility.
- Must be a team player holding great communication skills and an eye for detail.

- Excellent in Photoshop/Adobe CS and Flash.
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET, Ajax, JavaScript and the ability to learn other programming languages.
- SEO practices a plus.
- Knowledge of C# a plus.
- Passion for creative design
- A background in usability preferred 

Required Education/Experience:
-  BS/BA/AD degree
-  2+ years of Web Design experience
-  2+ years experience HTML / CSS
