The technology group within WEA is responsible for all label and consumer facing technology within Warner Music Group, including: websites, e-commerce, mobile application development, Direct to Consumer (D2C) marketing technology support and online infrastructure.
Detailed Job Description
The LAMP (Linux Apache MySQL PHP) Developer position is responsible for development and enhancement of open systems software. This position oversees the development and health of artist Web sites.
Skills Required
? Mastery level knowledge and experience working with open source, high traffic Web site applications (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, Python, Bash, Drupal, etc).
? Expert knowledge of Unix and SSH.
? Mastery knowledge of Web site deployment using Content Management Systems (CMS), managing and maintaining, multiple Web sites for large environments.
? Experience using source control revision system including Subversion and Git.
? Expert understanding of networking principles, including network security and DNS.
? Strong systems and network security awareness
? Strong background in application and infrastructure design
? Continually expands knowledge in the areas of new developments and trends.
? Must be detailed in documenting information and practice good follow through techniques.
? Due to the 24/7 operations of the business, must be on call and able to work a flexible work schedule, may include nights, weekends, holidays, etc.
? Ability to develop reports and presentations that effectively communicates important business data.
Special Requirements/Preferences
? Real-world experience with large scale Web and e-commerce sites (7+ million hits/day)
? Strong leadership and time management / organizational skills
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
? Technical Customer Service experience preferred / Customer Service driven mentality.
? Excellent ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work.
? Excellent problem solving abilities, coupled with a desire to take on responsibility.
? Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Education
? Bachelor's degree in computer science and six (6) full-time years of Information Technology and LAMP related applications experience
? Or Ten (10) full-time years of Information Technology and LAMP related application experience
? Knowledge of Web site load testing tools such as Soasta and Gomez.
? Knowledge of applications such as Magento for e-commerce, Web analytics such as Omniture a plus.
