Mid-Level LAMP Web Developer at MODE. (Charlotte, NC)

MODE is a small (13 person) branding and interactive agency located in beautiful Charlotte, NC. Our clients across the country range from retail to non-profits to top tier fast food brands. We're Looking for a mid-level LAMP based web developer who focuses on MVC back-end development but has a strong front-end dev skillset. You'll work alongside other back-end and front-end developers as well as directly with our project coordinator and design team.

REQUIREMENTS:

* Computer Science degree or equivalent work experience (2 years experience min)
* PHP Expert (Kohana and/or CodeIgniter required)
* XHTML/CSS/JS (Jquery and otherwise)
* Necessary skills in Photoshop for front-end dev
* Cross-browser compatibility
* Great command of MySQL
* Interest in Mobile Web Development
* Version control experience
* Content Management System development
* Experience with third-party apis (ie: Facebook, Twitter, etc)
* Desire to work in agency environment (ie: fast paced, multi-tasking, cares about how things look, not just how they are built)
* Personable, team player
* Working knowledge of Linux OS
* Strong written and verbal skills
* Dedication to deadlines
* Take pride/joy in your work and that of your teammates
* Strong Social web interest

HOPES:

* Interest or skill in mobile app development (iPhone/Android Obj-C)
* AS3
* Other back-end languages: .NET, JAVA, Ruby
* Funny
* Ability to fully architect a solution on your own
* Server / DNS management
* Load testing experience
* Experience with Google app engine
