Position Summary
Senior User Experience Designers are critical members of the LEVEL team. They lead the development of the user experience and provide usability and interaction design insights across a variety of high-profile engagements. The Senior User Experience Designer works closely with clients to intimately understand user needs, becoming the advocate for these needs throughout the development cycle. They present user experience solutions to internal teams and clients through blueprints, wireframes, flowcharts and functional specifications. Going beyond the interactive space, the Senior User Experience Designer analyzes, maps and optimizes the total customer experience.
Responsibilities
? Consult with clients about business goals and propose UX solutions and strategies that match their needs
? Lead client meetings to capture necessary information during the collaborative UX process
? Research audience characteristics and conduct competitive analysis
? Organize sites? content and functionality by creating site blueprints
? Create identifiable nomenclature for users
? Define navigation systems that are logical and consistent and support users? needs
? Analyze, develop and refine user tasks/processes
? Collaborate with Design and Engineering teams to build user interface wireframes
? Be an expert on competitive and complementary products/experiences and bring new ideas to team
Requirements
? BS degree in Human-Computer Interface, Library Science, Information Science or related field (Equivalent work experience is also accepted.)
? 3 - 5 years experience in any of the following disciplines: Information Architecture, Human-Computer Interface (HCI), User Interface Design (UI), Web Site Usability or Library Science
? Experience and working knowledge of the following: data modeling techniques, taxonomy/information organization and structuring, software interface design, usability studies, focus groups, business process analysis and documentation, Web analytics software packages (HBX, WebTrends, Omniture)
? Expert level knowledge of the following applications and technologies: MS Visio, Macromedia MX,
? Technical understanding of Internet related technologies: database structuring and content management and knowledge management software
? Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
? Exceptional attention to detail
