As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will play a highly visible and impactful role in Product Developments’ quality initiatives. Your mission is to provide outstanding automated and manual test coverage in all areas of responsibility creating test automation scripts, executing automated and manual regression tests, and discovering product defects with the goal of releasing superior quality software to our customers.

The mission of a QA Engineer is to provide outstanding test coverage in all areas of responsibility, and to attain the goal of releasing superior quality software to our customers. QA Engineers are responsible for testing a specific area of the RightNow product line, with the responsibilities listed below.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities

*Work with teams of Developers and other QA Engineers to functionally test RightNow products using automated and/or manual test approaches
*Develop, execute and maintain automated and/or manual regression tests
*Analyze software defects to ascertain source and nature of defects
*Write clear and reproducible software defect incident reports
*Thoroughly verify development fixes at the system level
*Provide complete test coverage of assigned areas
*Communicate effectively with other members of the QA team, the development team, other departments and managers
*Become an expert in the product/feature areas tested
*Other duties, as assigned by management.


Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background

*A highly organized individual who works well under pressure to complete tasks to meet tight deadlines
*Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
*Experience in programming, especially for software test automation
*Experience in QA and/or software testing
*Demonstrated knowledge of SQL and/or VBA
*Knowledge of QA standards, processes, tools, and methodologies
*Knowledge of computer software functionality and translate this understanding into documented, repeatable software tests.
*Excellent troubleshooting skills
*Excellent communication - both verbal and written
*High attention to process and detail
*Willing to 'roll up one's sleeves' and assist the team wherever needed
*A team player who will work across the organization
*A fast and able learner


Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background

*Masters degree in computer science or related field
*Experience with software accessibility testing
*Experience with RightNow software products and functionality
*3 years experience in QA and/or software testing
*OS experience in Unix and Windows XP/Vista/7
*Experience with MicroFocus/TestPartner test automation tools
