Does the idea of working on platforms such as Kindle for iPhone, Kindle for BlackBerry (announced, but not released yet), Kindle for PC and Kindle for Mac (announced, but not released yet) sound exciting and challenging?

Then this is the position for you. Amazon's Kindle division needs a world class Technical Program Manager to own and launch Kindle applications across a variety of platforms. Our team develops cutting edge Kindle applications for mobile devices, which blend seamlessly into the Kindle ecosystem and are the forefront of reinventing our Customer's reading experience.

This role requires working with product management to define strategy and requirements, and leading development teams across US and abroad from design through delivery. This position involves regular communication with senior management on status, risks and product strategy. Excellent listening, writing skills and strong technical competency are essential.

Qualifications:

*The ideal candidate will have 8 or more years of relevant work experience in internet-related project and/or technical product management in a software applications environment.
*Qualified candidates have experience defining projects, collecting requirements, writing detailed functional and test specifications, coordinating efforts to scope, schedule, and deploy new features sets, as well as analyzing the cost/benefit of feature selection and communicating results throughout the organization.
*An undergraduate degree in computer science or equivalent is required.

Knowledge of the following is required:

*product development (including C++, Java, XML, messaging protocols, and Web Services)
*SQL database queries and business analytics
*process building and project managementmanaging release schedules
*experience with application development SDKs is preferred
