The Kindle business is seeking an innovative, experienced Business Intelligence Engineer to help grow worldwide device and accessories sales and application downloads.
This person will use data mining, customer research, statistical modeling, and experiment analysis to create actionable insight and thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities:
*Identify trends in customer behavior and provide strategic and tactical recommendations based on the data
*Use data mining, model building, and other analytical techniques to develop and maintain customer segmentation and predictive models to drive the business.
*Evaluate and report on the performance of products, marketing channels, promotions, and experiments, diving deep to identify opportunitiesDesign, build, and maintain ongoing metrics and reports
*Respond to ad hoc requests from business leaders Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions
Job Qualifications:
*5+ years of exceptional experience working with large-scale, complex datasets
*Strong analytical mindset, ability to decompose business requirements into an analytical plan, and execute the plan to answer those business questions
*Strong working knowledge of SQLStrong data presentation skills
*Background (academic or professional) in statistics, programming, and marketing
*SAS experience a plus
*MS / PhD in math/statistics, CS machine learning, computer science or related field, is required
*Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work on deadline
*Strong communication skills, equally adept at working with engineers as well as business leaders
*Ability to see both the forest and the trees
