West Monroe Partners is currently seeking an Infrastructure Architect to join our Seattle office and help continue to grow our presence in the Northwest. This opportunity is located in our Seattle, WA office.
Architect level consultants at West Monroe Partners have three main areas of responsibility:
1. Client Delivery
• Thoroughly and accurately analyze information in a systemic fashion
• Identifies roadblocks to collecting and assessing data
• Assist in the development of recommendations and implementation plans
• Expertise and experience in designing, implementing, migrating, and documenting Windows based infrastructures. Technologies include Windows, Active Directory, SQL, Exchange, Hyper V, SharePoint, SCCM/SCOM, and Terminal Services
• Additional expertise and experience in the following is also desired: VMware, Citrix, Backup tools, anti-virus tools.
• Demonstrated experience managing technical engagements including proposal development, estimation, and day-to-day project management experience (time tracking, budgeting, status reporting, etc.)
• Experience working within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environment
• Ability to lead and mentor other team members or developers while leading projects
2. Practice Development
• Identify strengths and issues; drive and develop better behavior to create strong consultants
• Participate actively in the recruiting process for other consultants
• Drive the development/enhancement of WMP’s methodologies and approaches to client delivery
• Coach and manage other consultants and actively participate in the performance expectation process
3. Business Development
• Participate in business development meetings with prospective clients
• Understand business needs and requirements and help turn those goals into concrete projects and detailed proposals
• Creating work plans, pricing estimates, and risk assessments for prospects
• Actively build a professional network and affiliate network in the local community
Qualifications
• BS / Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or equivalent required
• 4-7 total years of consulting experience. 1-3 years of experience architecting complex solution projects
• Must have experience managing a variety of teams, including small engagements as well as large initiatives.
• Strong project management methodology background, including schedule, scope, issue and risk management experience, budget management, change management, strategic planning and analysis
• Has experience or proficiency with technology projects and has “been there, done that” experience.
• Must be able to work with clients and present to C-level executives.
• Must have a desire to participate in business development and manage client relationships
• Experience in developing work plans, project scopes, pricing estimates, and presentations to be able to assist in selling work to clients
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and quality experience.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyze the problem in a systemic fashion
• MCSE or MCITP a plus
• Other industry certifications a plus (Cisco, etc.)
• Proactive desire to continue to broaden and deepen technical, business and consulting skills
• Ability to lift and install rack based equipment
