Job Description:
This position is responsible for defining and building custom products to support multilingual requirements of Fortune 1000 customers. This role combines development logic and hands-on interaction with development process including working with Perl, Python and potentially other scripting languages. There is a strong focus on development methodology and process. This role requires the ability to communicate within multiple aspects of the company including developers, system administrators, sales, marketing, and various levels of executive oversight. There is a significant element to this role which includes customer interaction where good communication skills are required.
This position requires hands on development skills, strong command line administration skills, and the ability to work with various scripting and programming languages, such as Perl & Python outlined above.
The ideal candidate is process oriented and it is helpful to have experience with customer interaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
â?¢ Developing customized translation systems to meet customer needs, while ensuring customer data integrity
â?¢ Direct client interaction with Fortune 1000 customer base to improve the system development process
â?¢ Identification of challenges and implementation of solutions to improve translation quality
â?¢ Development of specialized translation components
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should have a degree in Computer Science or equivalent technology specialty and/or equivalent professional experience. Desirable industry experience of 2 + years with enterprise application development, enterprise content management, Web 2.0 or technical professional services consulting. It is necessary to have hands-on experience with implementing solutions in Perl, Python, Java, C++ or other programming and scripting languages.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational, and technical skills required. The candidate must have the ability to demonstrate initiative, adaptability, and to think beyond â??outside of the box". Must have the ability to coordinate a wide range of assignments by managing dependencies, expectations and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
