As a systems analyst, you would work as the bridge between our clients and our developers by gathering business requirements and turning them into technical documentation. This role suits those who have an understanding of and are interested in coding, but also enjoy working in teams, engaging with people, and staying up to date on the latest web trends -- we have no problem with you checking Techmeme or the Google Blog at work.
Velirs projects range from large data visualization and content sites to small brochure sites and everything in between. Our core platform is .NET but we also take work in Ruby, PHP, and Java. One of our strengths is how well we integrate with 3rd party platforms so we love people who have a good understanding of the current web ecosystem and how different technologies can play well together.
Below is a description of the tasks that our systems analysts are expected to perform.
Primary Responsibilities:
>> Development of Detailed Documentation including:
>>>> Requirements Documentation & identification of software integration points
>>>> Information architecture and wireframes that allow a client to see how their site will look before development begins
>>>> Functional Specifications
>>>> Quality Assurance Test Plans
>> Propose and analyze technology decisions
>> Participate in requirements gathering sessions
>> Participate in design/strategy phase of projects
>> Identify potential project risk areas during discovery phase of projects
>> Work with designers to build wireframes and designs
>> Assist both senior developers and project managers with proposing technologies appropriate for the project to the client

>> Understanding Software Development Lifecycle
