We are looking for amazingly talented rock star developers that want to play a key role in the ongoing development of the EMA(R) E-Mail Archive Appliance(R).

ARTEC IT Solutions AG is a mid-size company, and our headquarters are in Karben (near Frankfurt/Main), Germany.

Our development team is looking for people who are passionate about their work and have the desire to get things done. Ideal candidates should have experience in professional, team-based software development, and should generally be interested in the concepts behind legally compliant E-Mail archiving. IT security should be one of your hobbies, and you should be the kind of person who takes great pride in finding security holes in your own code and designs before others even start to look for them.

As part of our small and highly motivated team, you will help develop next generation features that keep the EMA(R) E-Mail Archive Appliance(R) far ahead of the competition. You will focus on security related aspects, like:

- Implementing new sophisticated and efficient signture schemes using hash trees
- Employing hardware security to increase our strong advantage over competing archiving systems even more
- Adding PKI related features

You will also work on some more secret, fascinating projects that we can't publically disclose at this time. Your solutions will scale to systems that manage thousands to several millions of archived documents on appliance hardware ranging from embedded systems to high-end enterprise hardware.

As the perfect new member of our development team, you:
- Know your way around E-Mail protocols and TCP/IP
- Can write high-quality code in C, C# (mono)
- Are a person that is at home in both the Linux and the Windows world and can write code for either OS
- Have very good knowledge about cryptography, PKIs, E-Mail formats, SMIME
- Have BSc or MSc degree, preferable in Computer Science with a focus on IT security
- Do not live too far away and can legally work in Germany
- Write both English and German with high degree of competency
- Have a real passion for developing software from start to finish in a structured, and straight-forward manner
- Can work with existing code without wanting to rewrite all of it before you get any real work done

Additionally, it would be great if you:
- Know a bit about MAPI or Lotus Domino
- Have experience with PostgreSQL and Lucene.NET
- Do not mind using FogBugz and Subversion to keep things maintainable
- Have "hacker skills" (e.g. finding security holes, reading publications about exploits, etc.)

(These are really only "nice to have". If not all of these apply to you, don't be discouraged!)

We will offer you a competitive salary and an extensible working environment with flexible working hours. It goes without saying that you will also get all of the typical social benefits offered by a modern company.
