What will you do in this role?
Performs design, development, testing, documentation, and analysis of software applications. Assignments include development of new programs and sub-programs, as well as enhancements, modifications, and corrections to existing software. Duties include designing applications, writing code, completing programming, developing and executing testing and debugging routines, and documenting work and results. May be responsible for developing or executing project plans, budgets, and schedules and for documentation of work and results.

Solves significant problems in products that need to be resolved before shipment or delivery to the client.
Understands, effectively uses and may coach lower level engineers on AOL technical tools, applications, and procedures.
Owns full life cycle of development for a component of a product or system.
Designs, develops, troubleshoots, debugs and implements software for a component of the system design.
Learns to review code.
Effectively communicates technical aspects of the job to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Understands how groups activities fit with other groups and the entire product.

*Self-starter, willing to work in a dynamic environment

*5+ years experience with C++ or Java
*2+ years building dynamic user interfaces
*1+ years experience with XML and JSON
*Mobile experience using the RIM SDK or Android SDK
*Able to handle medium to large tasks with little supervision, but seeks help when needed
