Make a big impact. Thrive in a small team of developers. Work at Leads360.
We're looking for smart, passionate software engineers to develop our core product: the LeadManager. It's a web app for sales people (of all sorts) to manage their leads. You'll develop new product features, architect and develop back-end solutions, and help scale our application.
Here are some interesting challenges we face:
- Users must get new data (called leads) ASAP; studies show that the first person to contact a lead will most likely close it; we must always keep this in mind when adding new features; how will this impact time to contact? Dust off your performance-tuning hat. You'll need it here.
- We manage several distinct integrations with our core product--a hub of workflows (similar to Salesforce or 37Signals). Do you enjoy learning and implementing 3rd-party APIs?
- We allow our users to customize what fields constitute a lead (the core record) ; all our integrations and background apps must handle this flexibility. Strong abstract thinking and creativity are required.
- We're starting to sign very large business accounts; therefore, we must rethink how we do certain common operations. Put on your scalability hat.
You are comfortable with:
- C#
- SQL Server, T-SQL
- jQuery, Javascript
- ASP.NET, HTML
Bonus points, if you're experienced with:
- SQL Server query/database tuning
- Lucene or Solr
- Memcached
- Hadoop
- Linux (for Solr, Memcached, and Hadoop clusters)
- Implementing build automation (e.g. CruiseControl.NET)
- Distributed source control (e.g. Mercurial)
Perks:
- 5 min from the beach (relaxing lunches/great happy hours--whatever floats your boat)
- 5 min from LAX (easy to get away Friday evening and return Monday morning)
- Public transit access: Metro Green Line, Santa Monica Big Blue Bus, Culver City Bus
- Somewhat flexible hours (most developers start by 10am)
- Competitive salary
- Good benefits: medical, dental, 15 vacation days
