AOL Entertainment currently seeks a strategic and operational product manager for Moviefone. The product manager will constantly strive to enhance the current Moviefone experience as well as to innovate. We strive to make Moviefone the best product of its kind on the Internet, as well as the most seamless, most fun, and most portable.

Moviefone is a free web service offering editorial features, movie show times, tickets, trailers and encyclopedic movie information to movie lovers everywhere.
The successful candidate will be outwardly focused on industry trends and own the formation of product strategy addressing the entire consumer product experience including but not limited to social media, user-generated content and distributed applications centered around the company's flagship movies brand, Moviefone.

Importantly, the product manager will champion open services and extend Moviefone.com beyond â??the bounds of the domainâ? and succeed in a distributed application strategy, including social apps, widgets, feeds, and other insertions into the conversations happening every day on the web.
This individual will develop and manage strategic roadmaps for Moviefone and AOL Television, and must have deep understanding of web product lifecycles and be able to manage multiple teams across AOL. Extensive SEO knowledge, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well working knowledge of data gathering tools (Omniture, comScore, Google Analytics) are important. Most of all, the Product Manager must be able to thrive in a dynamic environment where entertainment media is offered in increasingly engaging web experiences, and accordingly, can learn on the job much about the challenges and opportunities in digital media today.

Required qualifications include:
â?¢ Experience in bringing web products to market, from concept through specification and development to launch planning for highest consumer adoption, and based on success measurements, optimizing post-launch iterations.
â?¢ Experience managing product requirements for data-driven applications and direct collaboration or matrix management over technical development.
â?¢ Familiarity with Agile development and readiness to operate in Agile methodology.
â?¢ Ability to be conversant and think strategically in Web 2.0 concepts of user feeds, social contribution, and openness; ability to speak both business and technical languages.
â?¢ Constant awareness of developments in online media product innovations, via blogosphere, conferences, etc.
â?¢ Awareness of current standards in API development and service-based distributed applications.
â?¢ Ability to design and lead a distributed widget campaign.
â?¢ Confidence and ability to remain positive in a fast-paced environment.
â?¢ High standards of professional integrity and work ethic.
â?¢ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present intelligently and confidently to senior executives.
â?¢ Readiness to navigate the organization of AOL and strategic partners, identify integration opportunities, and serve as a resource integrator to realize previously unseen value.

Desired qualifications include:
â?¢ Experience in the entertainment industry, preferably movies.
â?¢ MBA or formal education in product marketing.
â?¢ Online presence, such as blogging or other public-facing accomplishments.
â?¢ Hands-on experience in technical development.
â?¢ Familiarity with major online media competitors and their products.
