Responsibilites:
Increasing the throughput of the team and sustaining the capacity
Being the development mentor, partner, and enforcer of coding standards.
Work with the team and follow the existing coding standards or evolve them where required.
Being the technical leader on Product Architecture and Quality
Working closely with the Business Owner and Engineering Manager on road-blocks and working to eliminate them
Working with Engineering manager and Project Managers on giving high level estimates for effort to prioritize the road-map and upcoming product initiatives
Partnering with other tech leads to share learnings, create and educate on best practices across the enterprise, and improve the overall efficiency of the development organization
Advising team on refactoring efforts that are needed to resolve technical debt and work with team to incorporate into product backlog
Qualifications:
7+ years software development experience in a team-engineering environment
5+ years mentoring, managing junior developers directly or as project lead/architect
2+ years experience with Agile software development process, preferably with scrum master experience
BA/BS, or equivalent experience, in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Computer Science, Math or Physics.
Applicants must have experience building complete web applications and be proficient in the following tools and technologies:
Microsoft C#, and the .Net framework 2.0 / 3.5
Microsoft SQL Server 2000 / 2008
Oracle database technologies (10g)
XML\XSLT
JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, HTML
Practical knowledge of Design Patterns and Object oriented programming
Proficiency in Agile Development Practices, Automation Testing, Jira, TDD, pair programming.
