We're looking for an experienced PHP developer with substantial Magento customization experience to work on, improve and further customize a live ecommerce site built with the Magento Enterprise edition and launched this past year.
The successful candidate will have:
- considerable Ecommerce development experience
- over 3 years experience in development, programming with PHP, (X)HTML, CSS, Jquery, Javascript & MySQL.
- at least 6 months experience working with the Magento Ecommerce platform (Enterprise edition experience preferred)
- considerable project management experience, time & risk management skills
- experience developing project specifications & requirements in comprehensible written form
- experience sourcing other development resources / building a development team
- up to date with the latest web trends, i.e. social media implementations etc
- strong knowledge of Server Management and dealing with Hosting, Load Balance issues etc
- a native speaker level of English â?? reading/writing/speaking/understanding
Preferable but not required:
- Frontend web design experience
- knowledge of and experience with Wordpress â?? custom theme development & implementation
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, etc)
- Familiarity with User Experience best practices
- local to the New York metropolitan area
- BS or BA in Computer Science
- knowledge of SEO and Social Marketing development best practices
- experience implementing order fulfillment and/or supply chain APIs or customizing same to automate order fulfillment processes for an ecommerce website (custom interface with 3rd party APIs)
The ideal candidate will be able to single-handedly administrate (and custom-develop for) a Magento-based website with extensive knowledge of PHP and HTML/CSS.
