With a wonderful range of over 100,000 images we have sold to tens of thousands of customers across Europe since the site went live in 1999. Today we are proud to be the UK’s leading supplier of posters, art prints, photography, canvas prints and frames with over 20,000 customers visiting our websites every day. Easyart has an office in Central London and a fulfillment center in Sussex.

The last 18 months has been a period of change and significant growth. We are now looking for a brilliant and personable Web Developer to help us maintain this growth and improve the functionality, usability and sales conversion of our websites. 

Based in our London office, the role is all about developing and supporting our numerous ecommerce websites and making sure we offer a reliable, consistent and exciting user experience. You will be working for our head of Web development.

Key responsibilities

  •  Support the Head of Web development in realization of development projects
  •  Support the Head of Web development in insuring the smooth operation, updating and maintenance of our numerous websites.
  • Usability and functionality testing and development of public-facing websites.
  • Working in Photoshop to support website and marketing teams.
  • Support head of website development in developing and implementing our SEO strategy in relation to HTML and web design.
  • Monitor error logs and website statistics.
  • Monitor competitors websites and staying updated on web developments trends and best practice.

Skills and Competencies

  • HTML – hand-coded to current industry standards.
  • CSS – awareness of cross-browser issues and ways to eliminate them 
  • Photoshop – working knowledge of, specifically for the web. 
  • Programming – experience with Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP platform.
  • Independent – able to organize day to day work based on agreed targets and routines, able to run project modules within an over arching project plan independently.
  • Customer focused – both internal and external customer, the role is essential in helping our marketing team.
  • Willing to learn – web design and technology changes quickly and you need to be open to explore and learn new technologies or concepts willingly.
  • Well organized – with a number of project and daily tasks running for multiple websites simultaneously you need to be well organized to insure stability and efficiency in development
  • Team player – our success requires a broad set of skills, so working together is essential
  • Of benefit but not necessary – Knowledge of SEO best practices, experience working in ecommerce, foreign language knowledge (German, Swedish, French)
