Do you love to create cutting edge applications? Does crappy software make you want to puke? If so, then come join our team! We are looking for a test-driven C# developer to work on the fastest solid state drives (SSD) on the market.
The people using your tools will be Product Engineers, Test Engineers and QA Engineers. Your fellow engineers will use your tools to characterize their product and to develop tests. The end result of your coding efforts will allow RMA engineers to determine a cause of failure on products returned from customers. Firmware Engineers will be able to load new firmware and run new SATA commands and the test department will be able to develop tests for a 24x7 testing environment consisting of thousands of machines running your code.
We don't care what SQL or ASP is, as we have no databases or web pages. Instead, we need developers to help with language, UI (WPF), command line, API, client/server (WCF), and driver development projects. Successful candidates will have a minimum of a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. You will also need to know how to read hardware specs such as the SATA and AHCI specs. If you already are familiar with them so much the better and if you also have Lex/Yacc, WPF, WCF and Visual Studio Shell design experience then you will be a preferred candidate. In addition, we want someone who appreciates the value of writing tests as they develop, so hopefully, the idea of writing code without high code coverage makes you feel ill. Lastly, you'll need to be able to get requirements from users that all want different things and then implement something that makes the most people happy.
As far as our work environment goes, we work in a strictly Windows environment, using the latest Microsoft technologies (Windows 7, Visual Studio 2010 and .NET 4.0 with every dev machine faster than anything you've ever used).
The position is in Boise, Idaho which has some of the best whitewater rafting in the country, hundreds of miles of mountain biking trails around town and snow skiing and rock climbing close enough you can go after work. We have numerous reservoirs that are great destinations for water skiing and fishing and thousands of miles of ATV and dirt bike trails. Hunting and fishing possibilities are unlimited in the area, with some nationally known destinations nearby. To top it all off, you can live less than a 10-minute commute to work and within walking distance of an elementary and junior high school. It is a great place to raise a family.
If you're really ambitious and want a leg up on the competition, write a simple "hello world" app using reflection in C# and send it to us as part of your application.
