Senior Field Application Engineer at PC-Doctor, Inc (Reno, Nevada United States)

The Senior Field Application Engineer implements complex software solutions, achieves high client satisfaction, and identifies opportunities to add value to the client. This individual works closely with the Engineering team and others, and is the primary technical interface between the client and PC-Doctors sales/support, product development and product management.



Responsibilities include:

Present technical information to customers, partners and prospects

Conduct pre-sales evaluations, including installation and customization or software upgrades

Obtain requirements, coordinate and deliver client builds, ensuring that all aspects of the client-developed product are functionally correct

Collaborate on managing customer expectations, deliverables and satisfaction

Provide post-sales support in coordination with the account manager

Provide on-site training to customers about the use of PCD diagnostic solutions

Obtain and communicate application requirements for each product cycle

Research, reproduce, respond, communicate and work to resolve issues

Interface with others to ensure compliance with requirements and coordination of builds

Provide detailed technical analysis to assist engineering

Document issues and status, client communications and other relevant information

Interface effectively and coordinate sales functions with account managers

Identify and document future needs and help recommend new features or capabilities (adding value, improving usability, and enhancing products)

Maintain understanding of competitors, technologies, solutions, product strengths/issues

Other projects and responsibilities as assigned



Requirements include:

Degree in computer science/information systems technology or related studies, plus --

Professional experience in software development and senior-level technical support/management in a high tech industry (in any combination as follows):

- BS/BA degree plus at least five years of experience as indicated above, or

- AS/AA degree plus at least seven years of experience as indicated above, or

- Minimum of eight years of experience as indicated above

Exceptional expertise in software development and client relations

Comprehensive understanding of software development lifecycle and software requirements

Hands-on software development skills

Current, in-depth PC software/hardware knowledge and ability to quickly learn PC-Doctor products

Ability to identify opportunities to increase revenue and customer satisfaction

Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills, to work effectively and collaboratively with others in a dynamic environment

Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and provide high level of client support

Approximate travel requirement: up to 30% or more, based on business need
