Xtify is an exciting mobile and location startup in New York City.
Xtify is looking for developers who want to be involved in all aspects of development including design, implementation, and quality assurance. Xtify is a small team that is building great technology. We need you to be able to learn rapidly learn new technology, pick up concepts quickly and be someone who is excited to participate in the invention process. In brief, we are looking for someone who wants to do more than write code in isolation.
Xtify develops software for mobile devices and the web. Familiarity with web design and smartphone mobile development (Android, iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile) is a plus. You should feel at home when coding with Java. Xtify runs on a standard open source stack: Apache, Tomcat, Liferay, Wicket, Java Portlets, ActiveMQ, JBoss, MySQL and Linux. Experience with our stack is a plus.
At Xtify, you will have the opportunity to, and will be expected to work on all phases of the software development lifecycle.
You must be local to New York City for both the interview and the position.
Responsibilities:
Write server code, business logic, and functionality
Learn new technologies
Build innovative solutions
End-User support
Build and run test cases
Daily monitoring and operational support
Database management
Maintain development, QA and production environments
Experience:
Developers must have at least two years of experience in programing in Java.
Skills
Must be authorized to work in the United States
Must be passionate and hardworking.
Must have excellent command of English.
You will receive sample coding problems during your interview.
Be prepared to explain in detail previous development work you have performed.
Education:
Computer Science or Engineering degree preferred
