We are looking to hire a Senior Software Developer in our Downtown Denver office to join our Gateway development team. CQG's Gateway system provides order entry interfaces, risk management, exchange and FCM gateway connections for order execution, and a FCM back-office interface.
Responsibilities:
* Gathers and produces requirements and designs
* Writes and tests code for the Gateway system
* Accurately plans software development activities and follows established processes
* Shares knowledge, mentors peers, listens and hears team members' positions and provides a fair evaluation of differing opinions
* Works productively as part of a software development team
* Communicates effectively with management and with team members
* Keeps commitments
* Has a command of current technology
* Actively participates in discussions regarding technical issues
Education, Experience, Skills:
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related, or equivalent combination of education, experience, and skills
* 4+ years of Object Oriented MS Windows C++ development to include experience with enterprise-class system architecture and design
* Extensive knowledge of Windows platform technologies including Win32 API, multi-threading and sockets.
* Demonstrated record of designing and implementing high quality software products delivered to market
* Strong problem-solving skills, including creatively solving critical production problems under pressure
* Ability to successfully collaborate within geographically distributed development teams
Desired:
* Experience with distributed application architectures
* Knowledge and application of software development methodologies
* Knowledge of ASP.net
* Knowledge of trading and financial markets
