JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Software Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for working with Language Weavers development and product teams to create test cases, develop test automation, define test procedures, guidelines and best practices in order to assess performance, scalability and testing of web based applications on a massive scale. The position requires the ability to plan strategically for US and Romanian QA teams across a number of major development projects.
The incumbent must be adept in helping expose a growing overseas team to automation and testing. Further, the incumbent will need to partner with Language Weaver's in house recruiter to grow our US team with an emphasis on testing core application products.
This is the perfect opportunity for a candidate who envisions him/herself as a liaison between architects, development, product and project managers while working on projects where he/she takes full ownership of an evolving test function. Deep knowledge of QA best practice tools and methodologies, paired with the ability to write code and set up testing while working well with others in a rapidly growing product company would be a great match for this opportunity!
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5-7 years QA experience
* 2-3 years supervisory experience
* Experience with multiple locations
* Exposure to test environments for SaaS and/or content management products
* Firm grasp of SDLC and specific knowledge of QA build processes
* Agile/Scrum development environment
* OOP (C++, Java, Python, Rails)
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science (or similar) with 5-7 years recent experience testing SaaS applications. 2-3 years team management experience and early exposure to CM or SLDC paired with great communication capabilities.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, problem solving, organizational and technical skills required. The candidate must have the ability to demonstrate initiative, adaptability & must have the ability to coordinate a wide range of assignments by managing dependencies, expectations and effectively communicate with stakeholders.
