The Senior Manager of American Express Digital Strategy will report into the Director of Digital Strategy, and will be part of the American Express Interactive (AXPi) division. The Division acts as the Center of Excellence for interactive and digital technology and customer experience for American Express.
The Senior Manager of American Express Digital Strategy will be responsible for developing strategies around American Express's digital approaches -- taking advantage of emerging digital trends and technologies over the next three years. This will include concepts such as geo-positioning, social media, API's, and cloud computing.
The Senior Manager partners with American Express Technology (AET) and our Digital Agencies to define both digital platform standards in streamlining the American Express digital customer experience as well as development approach. Additionally, the Manager works to identify and implement new technology delivery processes to improve cycle time and our ability to more rapidly integrate with third party and emerging technologies.
Lastly, the successful candidate will identify and help enable cross business generating opportunities in the Amex digital domain to obtain incremental business, enhance engagement and drive loyalty among customers.
Required Qualifications:
· Digital background
· Technology delivery experience
· Strategic thought leadership
· Ability to distill complex digital concepts into straightforward business driving approaches
· Strong written and verbal communication skills especially at the Executive level
· Act as change agent not afraid to challenge the status quo
· Ability to build relationships and influence
· Background with American Express technology and tech delivery process a plus
· Minimum of five years of work experience
· MBA coupled with an Engineering or Computer Science background a plus
