Embedded Software Developer (contract position) at MindTribe (Palo Alto, CA)

MindTribe is looking for a technical, dynamic, and versatile Embedded Software Developer interested in working on a consumer electronics device. The project is expected to last six months.

REQUIREMENTS
- Strong working knowledge of C++
- Experience developing software for Embedded Linux
- Experience developing 2D GUI applications
- Experience developing for embedded devices
- Experience working with command-line build tools and cross-compilation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on site in our Palo Alto, California office

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the application development team, you will work on the application software for a consumer device running Embedded Linux. You will implement application screens based on specification and work with platform software developers, hardware engineers and user experience designers to identify problems and inconsistencies in the spec and reconcile them. You will work with application team members to create and maintain a consistent application architecture, integrate low level platform services, write automated tests, cross-compile and deploy the application to prototype hardware. You will attend daily stand-up meetings and weekly planning meetings.
