POSITION : Advertising and PR Manager for multi-billion dollar privately held building materials supplier to the light commercial and residential marketplace. Position is located in Southern, Oregon. Looking to fill by July timeframe. This position is responsible for U.S., not international.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Main liaison with outside ad agency for both advertising and PR initiatives. Develop media campaigns (online, broadcast, print) and oversee budgets related to such. Work with outside consumer and trade media. Interface with other pertinent personnel in marketing, sales, operations, and external customers. Manage various internal and external communication projects. Involved with leveraging sports sponsorships.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred (MBA). Preference for some relevant experience in building materials field. Deep understanding of "brands". Team player able to work collaboratively. Excellent written and verbal skills. Comfortable and competent speaking to media and large groups. Detail oriented with good project management skills. Able to establish metrics and analyze data and make decisons/recommendations based on such. Sound understanding social media and earned media. At least 10 years relevant experience. Experience to include: developing and managing budgets; ad placement and negotiation; working with outside agencies; experience working with consumer and trade publications and online/web advertising. Willingness to travel ~20%. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Corporate Marketing
COMPENSATION: Upper 5 figures base DOE; eligible for bonus up to 20%; medical, dental and vision benefits; 401k; 3 weeks vacation to start; relocation assistance provided.
